CORNED BEEF 
1 (6 1/2 to 7 1/2 lb.) corned beef

SAUCE:

2 tbsp. butter
5 tbsp. catsup
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3 tbsp. vinegar

Place corned beef, fat side up, in oven roasting pan with 1/4 inch of water in bottom of pan. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 3 1/2 hours. Drain off juice that has accumulated, leaving about 1 inch in pan.

Combine sauce ingredients in saucepan, and bring to a boil. Baste over top of corned beef. Return to oven uncovered. Bake 1 more hour. Cool for 1/2 hour before slicing meat.
