CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter, soft
3 c. sugar
Dash of salt
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, soft
6 lg. eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour

Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add salt and vanilla; beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Stir in flour slowly. Spoon mixture into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees about 1 1/2 hours (lower to 300 degrees, if oven cooks too hot).

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

2 tbsp. butter
Dash of salt
1 (6 oz.) cream cheese
1 1/4 c. 4X sugar, sifted
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter; add salt and vanilla; blend. Add sugar, small amount at a time, beating after each addition. Add vanilla. Chill until right consistency to spread.
