BROWN SUGAR POUND CAKE 
3 sticks butter
1 lb. box + 1 c. brown sugar
5 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. maple flavoring
1 c. chopped nuts

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
3 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add flavorings and nuts. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove and cool completely. Frost with Brown Sugar Frosting.
