MARTHA'S HOMEMADE YEAST ROLLS 
1 pkg. yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. lukewarm water
1 egg white
1 heaping tbsp. lard
1/4 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1/2 t. salt

Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water in a cup. Beat egg white; add lard and sugar. Mix thoroughly and add 1 cup lukewarm water. Add yeast mixture. Add flour and salt. Let set in warm place until double, 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Work out into rolls, place in pan. Let rise until double. Bake in hot oven, 400 to 425 degrees until brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
