3/4 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. pecans

Cream first 4 ingredients, then add egg. Mix in next 3 ingredients and stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 2 dozen.
