SHREDDED WHEAT BREAD 
2 c. boiling water
2 shredded wheat biscuits, broken
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. maple syrup or molasses
1 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening

Dissolve dry yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Stir in above mixture. When cool, add about 6 cups flour. Place on bread board and knead. Place in greased bowl, cover with wet warm towel and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and divide in two. Shape in loaves and place in greased tin and let rise again. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to 35 minutes or until done. Butter top when done and remove from pan to cool.

For Sticky Buns: Instead of loaves. Flatten dough. Spread with butter, cinnamon, sugar and walnuts. Roll up and slice. In 8" round cake pan put enough brown sugar to cover bottom. Add 2 tablespoons butter and some chopped walnuts. Put sliced buns in. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Very nice sticky buns!
