BLACK WALNUT PIE 
4 eggs
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. black walnuts, chopped
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/4 c. dark corn syrup

Make crust for 2 pies and line medium size pie plate. Sprinkle the walnuts over the crust and then mix in the filling. Beat eggs and gradually add sugar, fold in flour, corn syrup and 1 1/2 cups water. Bake in very hot oven, 450 degrees, for 3 minutes and then reduce to 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.

PASTRY HINT: When making a fruit pie, put lower crust in oven for 5 minutes and bake at 400 degrees while you are rolling out top crust. The under crust will not be soggy.
