MINESTRONE SOUP 
1 c. navy beans, soaked overnight
1 ham bone
1 can tomatoes, medium size
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 c. macaroni
1/4 head cabbage (optional)
1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
Salt and pepper to taste
Italian cheese

Put beans, cut up onion, celery and pepper in pan with ham bone and cover with water; add tomatoes. Cook until beans are soft. Add mixed vegetables, macaroni and cabbage, seasonings.

Cook until tender. Serve with cheese sprinkled on top and crusty French bread for hearty meal.
