APPLESAUCE CRUMB SQUARES 
BARS:

1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. applesauce
1/2 c. butterscotch chips
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. wheat germ

GLAZE:

1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 to 2 tbsp. milk

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine cake mix, butter and cinnamon at low speed until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup crumb mixture. Press remaining crumbs in ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

Spread applesauce over crust; sprinkle with butterscotch chips. In small bowl, combine reserved crumb mixture, nuts and wheat germ; mix well. Sprinkle over filling. Bake an additional 15 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

In small bowl, combine powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle glaze over bars. Cut into bars. 36 bars.
