CRAZY MIXED UP BEEF BRISKET 
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1/4 c. water
1 c. ketchup
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp. grape or black raspberry jam
4-5 lbs. corned beef brisket, not spiced

Combine all ingredients except brisket. Blend well. Place half of the mixture on the bottom of a roasting pan. Add brisket and top with the remaining mixture. Cover and cook at 325 degrees for 3 1/2 hours. Chill thoroughly in refrigerator. Slice thin to serve.

Do NOT use "corned beef" brisket. Even without the seasoning, it is NOT the same meat as plain brisket. It will make the recipe taste different.
