LEMON SQUARES | |
Crust: 1 c. flour, all-purpose 3/4 c. wheat germ 1/2 c. powdered sugar 1/3 c. butter, softened Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9 inch baking pan. In a large bowl combine all ingredients for crust. Mix well, mixture should be crumbly. Press into baking pan. Bake 15 minutes. Create filling and pour over hot crust. Bake for 30 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely on a rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into squares. Filling: 2 c. white sugar 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 4 eggs 1 tsp. grated lemon peel 1/2 c. lemon juice For filling combine sugar, flour and baking powder in a medium bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, blend well. Stir in lemon juice and lemon peel. |
