A perfectly satisfactory recipe, although I needed closer to 1 tbsp. of water to bind it. Next time I might also up the sugar slightly and add a dash of baking powder..

Worked out beautifully. I was all set to make a batch of cookies when I realized we'd run out of eggs. This recipe was unbelievably quick and came out remarkably well. I'll definitely be using this again in the near future.

WOW! who would of thought such a few ingredients could become yummy cookies!! I added 1 teaspoon of lemon rind and use lemon juice instead of water for lemon biscuits. and second batch used 2 tablespoons of cocoa for choco cookies. I also added 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder for some extra rise! YUM!! Great recipe!

Very nice recipe. I used bob's red mill gluten free flour, due to granddaughter's allergies. Worked great. I followed previous comments added the cocoa to a batch. Definitely needs additional water. Rolled dough and pressed with fork. Will do this again!

Hey, thanks for all the tips! I was really surprised at how they turned out! :)
Did the 2 tbs of unsweetened cocoa, 1 tsp of Baking Powder, extra sugar - it all worked really well together. They took a little longer to cook than I thought they would and had to let them sit for a few minutes as they fell apart pretty easy. I also had to sub Bisquick for the flour and all in all, my hubby ate three of them in the first sitting ~ that tells me they turned out pretty well. LOL ~ :)

These were wonderful. I substituted almond flavoring added the tsp. of baking soda and they came out perfectly. It does still need a little more water than listed.

I used half white sugar half brown....yummy! I also pulled half aside and added white chocolate chips and peppermint flavoring. Dip them in green tea and it's delicious!

I've never really baked before (well, at least not with very much success) but your recipe worked out really well! I feel pretty close to culinary goddess. (i did have to tweak the amounts of water as well as sugar, but that is pretty subjective.) either way, many thanks!

Ok me and my boyfriend just made a batch of these cookies and they are in the oven as we speak. We altered the recipe by adding 4 tbsp of brown sugar, 1/8 tsp of almond extract and 3/4 cups of coconut.... Ok so they are out of the oven... and ooooommmmmgggg sooo yummy!

They were great. I added some extra vanilla, extra sugar, 1 tsp of baking powder, used rum instead of water, and rolled the balls in sugar.... I guess that's pretty much a completely different recipe, but never-the-less delicious.

Oh, man!!!
My 5-yr-old really wanted to make cookies, but I didn't have any eggs or baking soda, so I tried out this recipe. I also didn't have vanilla, so instead I put in some cinnamon, ginger, all-spice, honey, syrup, and raisins, and I substituted 2tsp water for the 1 tsp water and 1/2 tsp vanilla. They came out more like rolls, but they are AMAZING! I'm 6 months pregnant, and now I have a new way to take care of last-minute cravings without having to go to the grocery store. Smooth, savory raisin rolls!
