RAZZLE DAZZLE CAKE | |
This is a delicious cake! Try other combo's! Orange jello works for a great dreamcicle cake... I made a tutti frutti with 5 combos of jello's! Great for a cool summer treat! 1 box white cake mix (with suggested ingredients) 1 box blue raspberry jello 1 large can vanilla whipped frosting 1 regular size container Cool Whip Prepare your white cake mix according to package directions and bake in two 9-inch round cake pans. When cool, line 2 plates with plastic wrap and place each cake on plastic wrapped lined plates. Place in the refrigerator while preparing for the next step. Prepare your jello but instead of boiling 1 cup of water and adding 1 cup of cold, boil 1/2 cup of water, dissolve jello and add 6 ice cubes. When chilled remove cakes from the refrigerator. Use a medicine dispenser (or a marinade injector) and dispense the chilled jello throughout each cake. Usually 1/2 to 1/4 teaspoon at a time. You will use about half of the jello mixture. Put the cakes back into the refrigerator while you do the next step. In the leftover jello bowl add container of Cool Whip and the whipped vanilla frosting. This will thicken slightly as it stands in the refrigerator. Remove cakes and frost one cake with the jello frosting mixture. Then place the second cake on top and finish frosting the cake with the jello frosting mixture. The plastic wrap allows you to freely move the cake around without sticking. Must be refrigerated.
