CHERRY DUMP CAKE 
1 (21 oz.) can Comstock cherry pie filling
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in syrup
1 box Duncan Hines deluxe yellow cake mix
3 (2 1/2 oz.) bags chopped pecans
2 sticks butter

Spray pan with Pam. Spread cherry pie filling on bottom of pan. Spread crushed pineapple with juice on cherry pie filling. Pour yellow cake mix evenly on pineapple (leave cake mix dry, pour straight from box). Spread pecan pieces evenly on top of cake mix. Cover with thin slices of butter (be generous). Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Tastes great with vanilla ice cream or Cool Whip.

We have a new version, try make it with can peaches about 3 med. Size cans diced them into bite size, then cake mix, 1 stick of melted butter poured on top, bake at 350°F for 1 hour. You can sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar on top before baking. My daughter makes this every Thanksgiving and Christmas, I myself take to pot luck dinners at work. Very good!
