PEPPER STEAK | |
1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix 1 can (sm.) tomato sauce 1 can mushroom soup 1/2 lb. mushrooms (if using golden mushroom soup - omit) 1 green pepper, sliced thin 1 tsp. soy sauce Slice steak into strips. Put tomato sauce in casserole, then steak, then mushrooms (optional). Sprinkle onion soup over, then green pepper. Mix mushroom soup with soy sauce and pour over all. Cover tightly. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, uncover and check to see if meat is almost done. Stir well. Cover again and bake another 30 to 40 minutes. Serve over noodles, baked potatoes or rice. |
