APPLE WALNUT CAKE 
3 eggs, well beaten
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. cooking oil
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda, mixed with flour
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. finely chopped apples
1 c. walnuts
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

Bake in ring mold at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk

Boil 5 to 7 minutes. Prick cake with fork before putting topping on. Let cake cool some before removing from pan.
