APPLE DAPPLE BLACK WALNUT CAKE 
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. salad oil
3 c. all-purpose flour (add last)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped black walnuts
2 c. white sugar
3 c. chopped unpeeled apples
1 tsp. baking soda

Blend in order - spoon batter into greased 8 or 9 inch tube pan - bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour - before cake is done - make topping (as follows) :

3/4 stick butter
1/4 c. can milk
3/4 c. brown sugar

Combine in saucepan and cook for 2 1/2 minutes. Pour over hot cake - let cake set until cool before removing from pan.
