CHINATOWN PORK CHOPS WITH
RICE-A-RONI
 
In a large skillet brown 4 pork chops. Remove chops. Brown 1 package fried Rice-A-Roni with 2 tablespoons butter. Stir into this 2 cups of hot water and 1 (2 ounce) can of mushroom soup, undrained. To this add seasoning packet from rice package. Place brown chops on top of Rice-A-Roni. Sprinkle over this 1/4 teaspoon of soy sauce. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

My mom used to make this for me but she used a jar of whole mushrooms, not mushroom soup. We laughed that this was a childhood favorite of mine because my mom was a really good cook, and this was designed to sell Rice a Roni Fried Rice.

I have made this for years. The recipe used to be on the box of rice a roni. Your recipe calls for mushroom soup it's a can of mushrooms not soup.
