“BRITTLE CANDY” IS IN:

BRITTLE CANDY 
2 cups sugar
1 cup light corn syrup (Karo)
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp, butter
2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup peanuts

Combine sugar, syrup and water. Boil until mixture cracks in cold water (300-310°F on candy thermometer).

Add remaining ingredients. Stir quickly and pour onto greased cookie sheet. Cool and break into pieces.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.
