BEEF AND NOODLES 
Small amount cooking oil
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 lb. ground beef
1 pt. tomatoes
1/4 c. catsup
1/2 tsp. each: salt and pepper
3 c. uncooked egg noodles
1 c. water
Shredded cheddar cheese, optional

In electric skillet or large pot, saute onion in cooking oil until tender. Add crumbled ground beef and cook until meat is browned. Stir in tomatoes, salt, pepper and catsup. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add noodles and water. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer 30 minutes until noodles are tender. Stir occasionally and add water as needed. Sprinkle with cheese, if desired. Serves 4 to 6.
