LEMON BARS 
2 c. sifted flour (all purpose)
1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1 c. butter (may be melted)
4 beaten eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. fresh lemon juice
1/4 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Stir together 2 cups flour and confectioners' sugar and cut in the butter until the mixture clings together. Press in 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly brown.

Beat eggs, granulated sugar and lemon juice. Sift together the 1/4 cup flour and baking powder. Stir into the egg mixture. Pour over baked crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar. Makes 24 to 30 bars.
