SOFT PRETZELS 
1/2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 c. flour
3/4 c. warm water
1 egg, slightly beaten

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add salt and sugar; stir. Knead dough for about five minutes. Cut dough into three pieces and roll into three separate ropes. Form three pretzels and brush with egg mixture. Bake in oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Optional: Sprinkle lightly with coarse salt.
