2 sticks of butter (8 oz.)
1 c. sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped
1/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt

In heaviest pan, melt butter. Mix in all other ingredients. Stir constantly. Cook to hard, crack stage (290 to 300 degrees). Put on ungreased cookie sheet and spread as thin as you prefer.
