K.'S BCI GINGER SAUCE | |
1/3 to 1/2 c. lemon juice or vinegar 3 to 7 cloves garlic 1 sm. or med. onion 1/2 lb. or less ginger (fresh root) 4 to 6 tsp. soy sauce 2 to 3 tbsp. (less oil) Tahini (or sesame oil) Tahini is sesame paste - comes in a can, (can be bought at Kosher Commissary off Via Argentina) Oil up to 1 c. (peanut or corn) The amounts in this recipe are according to taste. On Barro Colorado they put it on salad, and I like it on rice and/or beans, or meat, especially pork. It is pretty strong stuff. Blend the first 6 ingredients at pretty high speed until smooth. Then add oil slowly, at lower speed, until it is creamy and the consistency you like. |
