CONNIE'S BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES 
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch bits
1 c. nuts; optional

Melt the butter and butterscotch bits over hot water. Remove, stir in brown sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in sifted dry ingredients. Add nuts. Bake in a 13 x 10 inch or large greased and floured pan 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool awhile then cut into inch squares.
