NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER 
3 c. frozen hash browns
3 strips fried bacon
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
Salt & pepper
2 onions
2 cans of clams (juice & all)

Place in crock pot. Fill until 1/2 full with water. Cook 4 hours on "Hot", then turn on low.

Toward serving time make white sauce. Add 1 quart of half and half to white sauce. Add to crock pot, heat thoroughly before serving.

WHITE SAUCE:

6 tbsp. butter
8 tbsp. flour
Salt & pepper
Enough milk or cream to make a sauce

Combine.
