CHOCOLATE WALNUT BROWNIE COOKIES 
8 – 1 oz squares semi-sweet baking chocolate
1/3 cup Nestle chocolate syrup
1 ½ cups wheat flour
2 eggs
¼ cup butter
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp baking powder
2 cups walnuts

Preheat oven to 350*F

Chop walnuts and chocolate squares.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine chocolate syrup, eggs, and vanilla, mixing well. Stir in flour, brown sugar, and baking powder.

Fold in nuts and chocolate chunks. Drop by tablespoons full onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for approx 15 minutes or until cookies puff.

Let cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.

Makes 2 dozen.

Great served warm with cold milk!

This recipe is very popular. There is only enough flour to hold the walnuts and chocolate chunks together. The chocolate syrup keeps the cookies moist, even at high altitude. I like the recipe because it's easy! Instructions need editing because butter was left out.
