1/2 BUSHEL GINGER COOKIES 
2 c shortening
1 c brown sugar
4 c molasses (Brer Rabbit)
4 tbsp baking soda
2 tbsp ginger
2 c flour
2 c sour milk

Cream together shortening and brown sugar. Mix with flour, soda and ginger. Add sour milk.

Add enough flour to make a soft cookie dough. Roll out on floured surface, and cut with glass dipped in flour or cookie cutter. Have oven preheated to 350°F. Keep dough well floured.

Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F.
