FRUIT CAKE 
Step 1:

4 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs until custard; add sugar and vanilla.

Step 2:

1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Step 3:

1 qt. pecans
2 slices candied pineapple, cut in small pieces
1/2 lb. candied cherries, cut up
1/2 lb. dates, chopped

Place fruit and nuts in large bowl; add flour mixture and stir until all fruit is covered. Pour egg custard over this and mix well. Place in tube pan and bake at 250°F for 1 1/2 hours.
