FRUIT CAKE HARRIET 
3 (7 1/4 oz.) pkgs. pitted dates (whole)
1 lb. candied pineapple (cut up)
1 lb. candied cherries (whole)
2 lbs. pecans (whole)
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 c. sugar

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Grease pans and line with greased brown paper.

Mix fruits with dry ingredients. Beat eggs, add sugar; mix well with above. Add nuts and mix well with hands.

Press into pans. Fill bread pans a little over 1/2. Bake 1 1/2 hours (250 degrees) until cakes are dry on top. Yield: 2 regular cakes - 2 small.
