GREEN BEANS SUPREME 
1 med. onion, chopped
4 tbsp. butter
2+ tbsp. flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
Dash of seasoned pepper
1/2 c. milk or light cream
3/4 c. sour cream
2 (1 lb.) cans (or equivalent fresh, cooked) green beans, drained
6 oz. grated Swiss cheese
Bread crumbs
Butter

Saute onion in butter for 3 minutes. Blend in flour, sugar, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once and stir until bubbly. Remove from heat, stir in sour cream. Add beans.

Spread 1/3 bean mixture in 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle 1/3 Swiss cheese over it, repeat layers ending with cheese. Dot with butter, sprinkle bread crumbs over the top. Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees F. Serves 8.
