GOULOMKI | |
1 lg. head cabbage 2 lbs. hamburger/pork mix 1 can Campbell's tomato rice soup 2 cans Campbell's tomato soup 1 c. rice, cooked Salt & pepper to taste (I sometimes use a little parsley for taste) Boil cabbage head until it softens a bit (so you can roll leaves without them tearing). Then cool. Cut part of hard vein of cabbage leaf (so it would be easier to roll). Set cabbage leaves in colander until you are ready to fill. Mix together hamburger/pork mix, tomato rice soup, 1 can of tomato soup, salt and pepper to taste and cup of cooked rice. Mix together well. Place large cabbage leaves in bottom of roaster or oven pan. Begin to fill each cabbage leaf (enough so cabbage leave doesn't tear when rolling). Roll like Pigs-In-Blanket. Place each rolled up leaf in roaster or oven pan. After all is in roaster, mix 1 can tomato soup with 1/2 cup of water; pour over top of all Golomki. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Be sure that you have a roaster or oven pan large enough so that juices don't boil over when baking. |
