APPLE BREAD PUDDING 
4 slices bread, cut into sm. cubes
2 med. sized tart apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. milk

Toss bread with apple pieces and spice. Place in 9 inch butter baking dish. Combine sugar, salt, vanilla, eggs, and milk; mix well. Pour this custard mixture over bread cubes and apples, be sure all is coated. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
