BLUEBERRY POSSET 
1 qt. blueberries
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
Butter
8 slices white bread (crusts may be trimmed or not)
Pinch of nutmeg

Stew berries in water with sugar and salt for 15 minutes. Butter bread slices. Cut bread in squares and place in deep, buttered baking dish. Pour hot blueberry mixture over bread squares. May be served warm or cold with whipped cream, ice cream, or plain cream. Sounds strange but is very quick and easy and oh so good!
