GREEN BEANS WITH MARJORAM | |
1 1/2 lbs. fresh green beans 3 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/8 tsp. dried whole marjoram Wash green beans; trim ends and remove strings (if any). Cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Bring 3/4 cup water to a boil in Dutch oven or large saucepan. Add green beans. Cover and reduce heat to medium. Cook 8 minutes, stirring frequently. Drain, returning beans to pan. Add butter and remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until crisp tender, stirring often. Yield 6 servings. |
