HERBED GREEN BEANS 
1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sliced green onions
1 (4 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1 (4 oz.) jar diced pimientos, drained
1/2 tsp. dried whole basil
1/2 tsp. dried whole marjoram
1/4 tsp. pepper
Lemon wedges (optional)
Strips of lemon rind (optional)

Wash beans; trim ends and remove strings, if necessary. Cook in a small amount of boiling water 10 to 15 minutes or just until tender; drain and set aside. Melt butter in a medium saucepan; add green onions, and cook just until tender. Add next 5 ingredients; cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated, stirring constantly. Garnish with lemon wedges and strips of lemon rind if desired.
