TERRIFIC TACO PIE 
Frozen deep dish pie shell
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
3/4 c. taco sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. shredded American or cheddar
1 1/2 c. shredded lettuce
1 med. tomato, chopped

Bake prepared shell at 450 degrees for 15 minutes or until light brown. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. In a 10 inch skillet, cook beef, onion, and garlic until meat is brown. Drain fat. Stir in tomato sauce and chili powder. Stir together cornstarch and taco sauce. Stir into skillet, cook and stir until bubbly. Turn into shell. Bake 15 minutes. Sprinkle cheese over top. Let stand 5 minutes. Top with lettuce and tomato. Serves 4-6.
