EFFIE'S WESTERN BERRY SYRUP | |
1 1/4 c. prepared berry juice 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. light corn syrup (Karo) Combine juice and sugar in a large kettle (heavy). Bring to full rolling boil; boil 1 minute. Count the time after the mixture comes to a boil that cannot be stirred down. Remove from heat and skim off foam. Don't boil too long or syrup may jell. Note: If the syrup jells when opened stir vigorously or place in a pan of warm water and heat until ready to serve and jells dissolved. Makes 1 pint. |
