CRULLERS 
1 lb. flour
6 egg yolks
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. cream

Egg yolks to be well beaten with 1 tablespoon sugar.

Mix the flour with the egg yolks; add the melted butter and the cream. Mix well, then knead on floured board and roll out the dough. Do not knead too much, dough must be light. Next, cut into strips about the width of 2 fingers and these cut into halves. In the center of each strip, make a lengthwise slash about 1/4 inch long. Take one end of the strip, pass it through the slash, and slightly stretch (very carefully). Fry them in hot lard on frying pan until done (a very, very light brown). Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Recipe makes about 3 dozen.
