CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1/3 c. butter, softened
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 egg
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 1/2 tsp. water

VARIATIONS:

Lemon Cake: lemon or blueberry pie filling

Spice Cake: apple pie filling

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine cake mix and butter at low speed. Reserve 1 cup crumbs for topping to remaining mixture, blend in egg until well blended. Press into ungreased 13"x9" pan. Spoon pie filling over crust. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool completely. Combine powdered sugar and water. Drizzle glaze over top. Loosen edges before cutting. Cut into squares. Serves 15.
