NORWEGIAN RICE PUDDING 
2 qts. milk
1 c. rice
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. flour
1/2 c. more milk

Bring 2 quarts of milk to a boil. Scald 1 cup of rice in boiling water. Add to the scalded milk and let cook very slowly about 1 hour. Then beat 1 egg. Add 3/4 cup sugar, salt, flour and milk to beaten egg. Mix well and add it to the rice. Cook until done.

I usually make this in the crock pot; it takes about 3 to 4 hours or until it gets to your desired consistency.
