PECAN PIE 
1 stick butter
1 scant c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. white Karo
1/2 c. sugar cane syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. broken pecan meats
1 tsp. vanilla
1 unbaked pie shell

Cream butter; add sugar and flour slowly and cream until fluffy. Add syrup; beat and add salt and eggs. Beat thoroughly. Add vanilla and pecans. Pour into pie shell. Cook approximately 1 hour in a 350 degree oven or until set.

SAFE SUBSTITUTIONS: Instead of 1 tablespoon of flour (for thickening) you may use 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch.
