OVERNIGHT COLE SLAW 
1 head cabbage
1 lg. onion, chopped
3/4 c. sugar

Shred cabbage and onion in layers and place in large bowl. Cover with sugar.

DRESSING:

1 c. white vinegar
1 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. dry mustard
3/4 c. salad oil

Bring dressing mixture to boil and add salad oil and reheat to a boil. Cool. Pour this mixture over cabbage mixture and toss well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours. This will keep for weeks without losing its freshness.
