PIZZA GOODNESS! | |
I'm sure this is a recipe you and your kids will enjoy making. My family and I have made this for a couple of years and still enjoy it as much as the first time! =D Good Luck! PIZZA DOUGH: 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 pkg. active dry yeast (or equivalent) 3/4 cup warm water 1 tsp. honey 1 tsp. salt TOPPINGS: shredded Mozzarella cheese toppings of you choice (pepperoni, pineapple, ham, jalapenos, diced cooked chicken, etc.) 1 beaten egg (for egg wash) tomato sauce (not pizza sauce) Preheat oven to 475°F. Put the packet of dry yeast in a a little bit of warm water, add salt and honey, mix and just let it sit until you are finished with the rest. Put flour in a mixer and slowly add the water until well combined. Add the yeast mix and once the dough isn't sticky, take it in your hands and knead it for about five minutes. Put a damp towel on top and let rise for about an hour in a bowl. After dough has risen for about an hour, layout the ingredients that you plan on using for your pizza, make sure your egg is beaten for later use. Take out dough and cut in half, you should end up with 2 pieces for two medium sized pizzas. Roll out dough to desired shape with a rolling pin, and fold the edge inward for the crust. With a pastry brush put egg wash all over your crust and the rest of your pizza dough. Put the tomato sauce on first and the topping ingredients that you would like your pizza to include. Once ready, place your pizza on a baking sheet and bake at 475°F for about 12 to 15 minutes depending on your oven. Once the crust is nice and golden brown your pizza is ready. Cut, serve and enjoy! Makes 2 pizzas. Submitted by: ERiCA G. |
