BAKED HOMINY 
2 (29 oz.) cans white hominy
2 (4 oz.) cans chopped green chili
Salt and pepper to taste
1 sm. carton sour cream
1 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese (6 to 8 oz.)
butter

Drain and rinse hominy. Generously butter a 2 1/2 to 3 quart casserole dish. Layer ingredients in following order: hominy, chili, salt and pepper. Dot with cream and butter. Repeat layers, ending with a layer of hominy. Dot top with butter and cream. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Serve hot. Good with charcoaled foods.
