CHURCH SUPPER SCALLOPED POTATOES 
6 to 8 potatoes, thinly sliced
1/4 c. butter
1 sm. onion, finely chopped
2 1/2 tbsp. flour
3 1/2 c. half & half
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place the potatoes in a lightly greased 2 quart casserole. Melt the butter and saute the onion in it until tender. Stir in the flour and gradually blend in the half & half. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat immediately. Season with the salt and pepper and pour over the potatoes. Bake 1 1/2 hours or until potatoes are tender and tip is lightly browned. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
