HAM CORN BREAD 
3 c. cubed ham
3/4 c. onion, chopped
2/3 c. green pepper, chopped
2 (1 lb.) cans cooking tomatoes, drained
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Mix ham, vegetables and seasonings. Place in dish.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. butter
2/3 c. milk
1 egg, beaten

Sift dry ingredients. Cut butter into flour mixture, add well beaten egg and milk. Mix until flour is moistened. Cover ham mixture with topping and bake for 30 minutes at 425 degrees.
