Grilled Marinated Tuna Steaks

I was out of a couple things in this recipe - used lemon juice instead of lime juice, no rice vinegar, no ginger. It was amazing!! Only grilled tuna steaks 4 min on each side so they were med rare in the middle. never knew to cook it that way. It was sooooo moist! Will make again!

I can't believe I chose the right recipe. Thank all of you who rated this tasty. I was looking for a tuna marinade that was simple and quick. I marinaded this out of the refrigerator for 1/2 hour and cut the recipe for 1/2 lb of tuna steaks. I didn't really think the marinade would deepen the flavor, but it was simple with a few tweaks. Yummo!

I just made this with a little variation; a few substitutions based on what I had on hand. Highly recommend it!!!!

I used 2 fresh tuna steaks

3 tbsp. Braggs
a swish of lemon juice
1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1/2 tbsp. or less rosemary olive oil
several shakes of Caribbean jerk spice
several shakes of cayenne pepper
several pinches smoked sea salt
several shakes of dried garlic and pepper flakes
2 garlic cloves, crushed (used the meat hammer)

Combine marinade ingredients in non-aluminum baking dish and add tuna steaks. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Cooked for 1 minute in the George Foreman grill. It was perfect!!! Lightly cooked on the outside, raw in the middle and sooo moist and tasty!!!

AMAZING!!!

I love this recipe! I've never wanted to write a review for a recipe until this one. I followed it exactly and wouldn't change a thing. I think the lime juice really makes it. Will make this every week if my family doesn't get sick of it.

I didn't have the vinegar and had to make do with ground spices where necessary. Marinated my mahi mahi steak for about an hour and that was plenty. Delicious!

I just made the tuna steaks with this marinade, yummy, taste like our favorite Japanise resturant. I'm sure I'll make it again.

I just cooked this and it tastes amazing! I had a tuna steak on hand and I marinated the tuna steak for 2 hours and put it in the grill. I cooked it leaving just a little pink in the middle and I have never cooked seafood that tastes this great! Thanks!
