1 lb. butter
4 to 5 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. milk
4 eggs
Pinch salt

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Mix shortening with these ingredients. Mix the eggs and milk a little, and add these to flour mixture. Roll dough in powdered sugar and cut in circle or diamond shapes, or shape to make stars. Fill with apricot or nut mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
