ESCALLOPED OYSTERS | |
1 pt. oysters, drained (save liquor) 1 1/2 c. dry bread & cracker crumbs 1/2 c. melted butter 2/3 c. liquid (part oyster liquor & part milk or cream) 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Paprika Mix the crumbs with the melted butter. In greased baking dish, 10"x6", spread 1/3 of crumbs. Arrange over crumbs in two layers: oysters, salt, pepper, liquid and remaining crumbs. Top layer will be crumbs. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 40 to 60 minutes in 350 degree oven. |
